Exercise can help strengthen bones and prevent falls, especially for those with osteoporosis. Weight-bearing exercises, done three to four times a week, are best for preventing osteoporosis.

Follow these additional tips to prevent weak bones:

·        Eat foods rich in calcium and vitamin D

·        Stop smoking

·        Limit alcohol intake
